Ok well this past weekend has been hell just got my new fuel pump assembly in and on Saturday morning I start my car to go to work there's just a small hint of smoke coming out the exhaust very unnoticeable so I get on the street and give it some gas and man smoke just pours out the exhaust like crazy and the car is running very weak and no power at all. So pretty much and go turn around limp the car back home and smokescreen everyone behind me and park it, I get out and take my finger around the inside of the tailpipe and there's a ton of oil inside it.

Now when it smokes its not blue and its not black dark gray but it is definitely oil burning. Now I'm also running very rich running 660cc injectors, wally 255 and a stock FPR.

Now what are the differences in symptoms and signs of a blown turbo or piston rings?

Valve seals shouldnt be the issue, as you are losing power, I have bad valve seals in mine and it caused no power loss, just oil burning. Rings would probably indicate a low compression? Do a compression test and see how that goes, if the compression is fine I would definately say the turbo. Compression tests are easy to do, just follow these instruction.

Sounds like you overran your stock fuel pressure regulator for a long time and thus ruined your rings and possibly your cylinder walls. Compression test is the only way to find out.

Just pulled off a inter cooler pipe and found oil all inside then pulled off another one that goes to the J-pipe and man lots of oil there so pretty much it was just a blown turbo with tons of oil everywhere. Like I said only time it smokes is when you really give it gas.
