blown struts?

I think my rear struts are blown. When I would compress them them, It would take very long for them to come back up. Does that mean they are blown?

Are they on or off the car? The spring does most of the work as far as "coming back up".

Can you manually compress and pull them apart without them having a slipping feeling? Like your pulling and it's hard and then all of a sudden it's much easier. And if they are on the car, which I doubt, then you can do a dry park test. This is where you bounce the car up and down, when you let go If it keeps going for a little bit then replacement is needed. Remember if one is replaced then the other side will have to be replaced.

They are off the car with the springs off also. I could compress it by pushing it down againt the ground. It would come up very slowly, even when trying to pull it. I just thought it would come up right away. Maybe not?

Yeah; They are blown. If you can push them and they don't come back their blown.
