would a blown seal on the turbine side of the turbo dump oil in to my exhuast causing blue smoke?

And if it was blown bad enough would it cause my oil to almost drain in 20 miles and lose oil pressure?

and would that be a big cause of loss of oil pressure since all the oil might be dumping into the exhaust instead of the oil pan

please help this sucks and I just finshed off my motor and have just over 100 miles on it and its my only tranportation

all parts on the bottom end are new oil pump, short block, ect.
used old turbo, manifolds and 2g head(just rebuit)

Yes, a bad turbo seal will burn your oil in a blue smoke, yes it will cause your oil pressure to become lower. All your assumptions are dead on. Rebuild the turbo or get a new one. I have been down that road, it sucks.

would this seal being blown also cause water to go into my oil or do I have more than one porblem?

that helped alot

so it could it just be that my head gasket is blown causing me to loose oil pessure and have coolant in my oil and to smoke like a madman

Also with that thread it seems my turbo still might be fine since it does spool really strong and have no shaft play or death wine at all?

Be smart. Take it to the Mitsu dealer. Pay them the 88 bucks and let them tell you exactly what your problem is. Yes, i hate dealers too but they saved me big time. I was blowing blue smoke. I thought it might be a turbo oil deal but my turbo was in great condition and i just bought it from a guy who just had it rebuilt. No shaft play nothing. Well so i posted my problem up on here and i had 8 people tell me it was not my turbo but my valve stem seals. Well, i wanted to be sure since the price difference in replacing the valve stem seals compared to the turbo ( or just replacing the oil seals) was huge. The dealer said it was a turbo oil seal, i had it rebuilt and my car has never run better, smoke free too!

Bottom line, take it to the dealer, its worth the 88 bucks to know what your problem is, rather then fixing and spending uneeded money at the moment.

if your oil and coolant are mixing, and your car is dumping out white smoke, this is a head gasket problem. Fix this first, then worry about your turbo.
