blown head gasket, cracked head?? help

ok here's the deal, 91 GVR4. put a different 14b on, started it up, burn off all the excess crap, didn't even smoke to much out of exhuast, let it idle for a while, filled up the collant. took it for a spin. drove fine, boosted a lil and everything seemed fine. boosted moderately, and i notice a huge cloud of smoke behind me. the car is just bellowing out white smoke constantly. park it, coolant is all gone. no visable leaks or anything, did a compression test, 150 all across. now i have yet to drain the oil, but the dipstick looked alright, and this was late at night so i didn't see if i could see any water on the piston. now i didn't loose any power or anything else like that. blown head gasket, maybe cracked head?

little background on the car, the car had sat for atleast a month, motor hadn't seen boost in a while, 154xxx miles. temperature gauge doesn't work now after the install, don't know if i broke the sensor on accident or what, i did remove it and put it back. now why would that thing be fine, then hit a little boost and just be a smoking bandit now? and the turbo is fine, so that's not the case....help? now i know coolant flows to the throttle body on the 1g's, could that be getting in there somehow? this is my first 1g so i'm a little new to it. i should be doing a leak down test as soon as i get a hold of one.
 
was the cloud of smoke white?? if so i would have to ask how old the turbo is?? when my turbo died it did the exact same thing. check to see if your turbine wheels are touching the compressor housing and also check for shaft play.. it really sounds like a turbo prob to me..hope that helps
 
the turbo was replaced, we were doing a test run to see how it did.it seemed to be in good shape BUT we did switch exhaust housings. now i am very familiar with the bad turbo/oil smoke, it was doing that before.. but as far as i know, coolant can't leak through the turbo right? my coolant went somewhere - tis all gone.
 
coolant can leak through the turbo, most turbos are water oil cooled, is this turbo that you put on a new one or just one y ou had laying around. check for shaft play. it seriously sounds like a turbo especially since your car is still running fine.

no shaft play at all, the turbo was bought used, 0 shaft play, 0 shaft play as off 2nite. looked at the top of the pistons 2nite, dry. drained oil, didn't appear to be any coolant in there. filled it back up with a lil water, and boosted it a little...didn't sound good and didn't feel the strongest. And, i did take off the exhuast housing, and put a different exhuast housing from a blown turbo on (long story). The car is actually burning oil too...which is leading me more towards that turbo now. leakdown test on tuesday should tell a lil more.
 
not to bring a old post back, but simply pulled the exhuast manifold off and started the car.... and it looked perfect, no hellacious white smoke. thank god it wus just the turbo, been trying to get my 2g running again so haven't really messed with the galant
