hey i bought a 95gst january for about 2400 with 149k miles on it, i was just so happy to get an eclipse that i didnt really take i good look at the car i bought it in a rush, and the guy selling it to me promised it was never in an accident and he had a mechanic who took very good car of the car. well BS it was nohting but trouble ne way to my question...the car had a small leak already but the other day i was driving on the high way only doing about 55mph, i press the pedal to accelerate and she starts slowing down i quickly pull into a parking and she shuts off, i lift the hood and theres oil splattered in a section of the car and lots of smoke and she was dry not one ounce of oil left. i got her home by dumping oil in her and driving her home, she was burning oil i dunno if it was a leak and it was burning or if it was the oil that was already there, havent drove her since. do u think maybe i blew a gasket ( i only saw oil no fluid) or cracked the head.
p.s. something that mightve contributed i put radiator flush in her and left it in there about 2 or 3 weeks b4 this happened maybe that couldve casused it?
srry for writing so much let me know wat u think
also if its a problem that the engine needs to be rebuilt do u think it would be a good time to get my hands on the engine (w some help of course) and do it myself or not bother and just sell her as is. ( i leaving in about 3 weeks to college and cant have a car, but the experience of rebuilding might be nice).
I did ask once dont blame me for technical problems wit ur site, and i did use real words. dont have a sissy fit over my thread.

, shes not worth keeping to many problems. and around here every tells me eclipse engines are expensive and are askin 4k for a used engine, sumthing i definately cant afford. i figured it was a good chance to open up the hood and learm a little, but theres not much i can teach myself.
