blowing tail light fuse

first off i know my 03 eclipse isnt a dsm, but i was wondering if the green wire with white stripe in the factory radio harness would be the cause of my tail light fuse to blow. i took my raido out and found that all the insulation around it was melted off. just looking for some ideas on what to do with it.

if the wiring in your car is similar to a 1g then if that white green wire is for the radio illumination, and it grounds , all your running lights will go out... dash lights too in my case

Make sure that the ground is in proper place
