I am looking for the best and most reliable set up bore size, crank, pistons, rods, bearings for a 6 bolt. I already plan to use all arp hardware as of right now im looking to keep the evo 3 but maybe would go bigger if their is not to much lag just looking for other people opinions.

well my goal is to keep up with a 450hp gto 6.0 now for my turbo options is ill stay with the 16g till i max it out then go something bigger.

Well it all depends on what kind of build you want ie drag/autocross. But I always find my self going with wiesco pistons and eagle rods but that what i like i always say go forged and take your time with it do it right the first time and you will be happy with what ever you decide

Get a better turbo, 20g and up if you stay mhi and get the supporting mods, tuning fuel, fmic, possibly drivetrain. Upgraded block internals.

Always make sure u get a good tuner all that stuff is great but a quality tune is where your power will come from.

Keep bore at or below +.040".
Use stock crank but get it polished and balanced.
Rods and pistons can vary depending on the power you want to make. I use Wiseco pistons, Manley rods, and ACL main and rod bearings.

It really depends on your budget. Have a machine shop check your block, if it needs to be bored, then go .020 over, you will need a hone as well either way. Make sure the head and block surfaces are not warped, and check out with a straight edge. Deck and resurface id needed. Have them check your crank, and machine it if necessary, polish and balance. Pistons and rods are up to you and your budget, but even with the cheapest stock internals, you can successfully make around 300 to 350hp. For my current 6 bolt 2.4 build, I am doing Eagle Rods, Wiseco Pistons, ACL Race bearings and ARP hardware (Very popular setup).

Jackson's do great machine work. I would not hesitate to take my block to them again, but I do recommend another shop for crank work (polishing, cutting, balancing). I recommend Warrior in Red Lion, PA. He does excellent work too!
