Black door paint

:thumbdown I know its out there i just cant find it. The black trim on the door of my 92 Tsi is coming off.Its more like thick paint.And you can see silver or aluminum under it.What do i use to fix it?If i can paint over it what kind of paont do i use?

They sell the new trim for $20 a side. This is where I got mine from.
