I recently took my throttle body apart and cleaned everything amongst a few other things. Now My BISS keeps backing out. Any ideas how to prevent this?

Buy a new plug/cap? Loctite? Silicon?

Curious as to what others may have done

Ahhh, lovely :D Guess I'm headed to the dealership 2morrow.

Thanks :thumb:

additionally they make a loctite that is designed to stop this only. It is called like vibra-tite or something.

Well the old O-ring was so hard it would be easy to mistake it for plastic . . . the new one is in there and so far all is good.

Could I just fill the space on top of the screw with some clear silicon to keep the screw in there? (I've apparently lost the cap that is supposed to be there)

For future reference the "O" ring is a #5 I believe which you can buy at any hardware store. Yes you can fill the cavity on top of the screw with silicone, but you probably shouldn't have to with the new ring. The cap on top is basically to keep debris out. Most DSM that I've seen are missing this cap by now.
