It's a car he can always start over.

I know how it feels when I sold my Supra.

does a 20g bolt to the factory mani. If not what mani do you need? Would a 20g with minmum tuning put a fwd in the mid to low 13's. Also I can't find that dsm motorsports web site with the t3/t4, mani, and waste gate for 1775 anyone got that link.

The 20g requires the same stuff as the 16g does to install on a 2g. With minimum tuning I dont think a gst ould be low 13's. I definetly think with good tuning you caould be in 12's though (20g). I dont know what you all use at the track. With some nt555's or some real slicks, a 16g will get you to a 12. If you have all the supporting mods, with fair tuning, race gas and lot o boost almost any gsx (good driver) can hit a 12. So why not a gst with proper traction...

Any one have any suggestions on where to buy a 20g or another turbo comparable in size from. I was looking at the buschur 20g does anyone have that one. RRE also sells a super 20g any comments on that one? Any way I need to buy ASAP I have vacation coming at the end of september and i'd like to have everything so I can put it all on.

I would think it's possible on a fwd but it would require much more tuning than on an awd IMO. But I'm looking for something that will put me closer to 12's on street tires with less tuning say 13.3 or 13.4. Then when I learn more about tuning and spend some time on the dyno maybe I can start to dip into the high 12's

The old T-28/28 is comparable to the regular 16g. T-28/28 flows 510cfms. The regular 16g flows 505cfms. The Big28 is comparable to the Big 16g. Big 16g flows 550cfms. Forced Performance wont release any cfm ratings on the Big28 for some reason. But... I think it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 530 to 535cfms. The Big 16g may have just a LITTLE more topend, but you wouldn't notice that if you were to go on DSMTALK.COM and look at there times list in the racing section, comparing the two turbos.

I can speak from personal experience on the Big28 and FWD but I dont think anyone really listens when they ask questions on what turbo to buy in the first place. I think you already have your mind made up :).. Anyhow I ran a 13.7 @ 109 and I also dynoed my Big28 to 279whp untuned on 93 octane.. When I ran my 13.7 @ 109 I spun the front tires almost all the way up to the 1/8th mile hence why my 1/8th mile is only a 9.1 on that run, once the car caught traction it was just gone..

SO.. can the turbo get a FWD into the 12s.. yes.. but with like some really sticky drag radials, an LSD and a great driver.. thats not what I wanted.. I wanted a turbo that I can take my car on street radials and go with a full car system in tack and run 12s all night long.. its all about what you want..

Ill tell you right now.. the Big28 is a great turbo but that incredibly fast spool up time on FWD only means more time to spin..
