Big enough ???

i was looking to upgrade my stock turbo, and was hoping after i get the rest of my mods if a big 16g would be good up to around 400hp also some 1/4 times with a big 16g thanks for any input..

A 16g should be good enough for 400 hp, but i would go with a larger turbo that can more easily hit 400 hp.

If your concidering the b16g i would look into the Evo III 16g, its been well known to put down 400+hp. And its a perfect street turbo.

EvoIII 16G arround 375WHP (I havent seen a EvoIII 16G hitting over 400WHP)
50 trim arround 400WHP

Also Remeber about your Internal condition, support Mods and a really good tunning just to get to 400WHP. but it is possible....

NOOOOOO! are you a hella-dyno-tuner with a stroker (i.e. Slowboy Racing)? If so, then you just might get 400 horsepower out of an EVO3 16g... Even then, you're running 30 psi and so far off the ENTIRE compressor map that you star in the series LOST and make millions of $$$ in confusion.

Now, take away 4 lbs/min (over 40 horsepower), and you have a big 16g's maximum potential...

To translate MHI's airflow numbers to lbs/min multiply the nuber on the map by 154.66. remember 1 lb/min is approximately 10.5 horsepower.
