Winnipeg,
Hi guys, well here in winnipeg its minus 50 with the windchill which is ridicolous and can't wait to move down south but anyways just wondering whats the best way to keep the car warm? I have an inline coolin heater for the car which does a good job. How about the battery though? power steering? tranny? I notice all those tend to freeze up in this ridicolous weather.... or just don't drive at all......LOL.

thanks!

And I thought my heating problems were bad.

No these cars heat up fine..... its just i want to make it easier on my car to start up. The inline coolin heater works great though:thumb: Plus these cars are more of a summer car then a winter.... well all tuners/sports cars are actually bad for in the cold. But in this cold every car is having trouble so don't feel too bad :talon: Our cold weather is going to pass away in a couple days so just have to bare it for a couple days.

There are companies that sell such things as battery warmers. And you can buy a magnetic pad that will stick to your oil pand and warm the oil up. This should ensure better starting. Also what weight of oil are you using? If not 5-30 you may want to switch it for easier starting. hope this helps

its a tad over 50 degree's in my house right now and I am shivering, I could not imagine -50.

A heated garage? :)

I just wanna know how hard that thing pulls in the winter. Does the intercooler even heatsoak??

A heated garage would be my best suggestion.

for the power steering you could probably yank the p/s cooler at least for the winter. or loop off the lines for a clean bypass.

there is literally nothing you can do short of a heated garage if you want your suspension to be warmed up and responsive.

i'm sure it woudl beb possible to put a warmer on your trans. might make it possible to warm your gear oil.
but it woudl be tough with all the fins and curvature on the trans case.

but running all those heaters would be a burden when your electric bill comes.
