2G Best way to clean a transmission?

I bought a used transmission for my 420a since my older transmission got messed up. I was wondering is there any products i could use to clean the transmission?

Oven cleaner works well also.

Oven cleaner eats aluminum. Dont leave it on their long. Acid based wheel cleaners do a good job. Get the one that is not safe for painted wheels

Formula 88 and a good scrub will go a long way. I used Mineral spirits on a rag to remove the rest of the oil on there. Still looks great as 2 years ago when I did it.

Degreaser, brush and car wash or pressure washer. 30 minutes total time and even the worst transmission will look near new.

Badly oxidized aluminum can be cleaned to be grease free but may still look bad. Acid products like the me tio ed wheel cleaner or alot of elbow grease and a scotchbrite will clean it.
