Looking for;

Bushing set
Spring/Strut setup (Lowered around 1.2in)
Sway bar?
Motor mounts?

What would be good to get for a DD. NO DRAG. Just curious.

Links would be great :thumb:

Thanks in advance
Mike

The best setup for a DD is your stock setup.

That isn't what you want to hear, so if you want a sporty feel w/o going to real coilovers, Eibach springs are good quality and Koni Yellow (KYB is a cheaper alternative) shocks have a great track record. Get a decent camber kit as well (RRE's has been recommended, but I've never purchased or used any of their products personally).

New tires (don't spend $1500 on suspension and $89 on tires) and wider wheels will come later down the road too.

Get everything balanced and you will be moving towards a sportier ride. You aren't even racing competitively though, so I wouldn't bother with suspension upgrades.

Links already exist in the toolbar above and it's labeled Marketplace.

Street racing is :notgood: I wouldn't mention it again on this site.

Stock setup is the best all around set up for just a regular driven car. Why spend money on an upgrade unless you want something more from you car.

Firm suspension means feeling all the bumps. Too soft means floating like a cadillac (used to own one and know this one).

Stock is sporty and just right.

Tell your story. I had a good experience with Eibachs.

AWD has been discontinued. They are still available for FWD.

well for one they aren't progressive which makes it even worse if you get a shock that is anything above stock (KYB AGX comes to mind)

i had a 1g with all new suspension parts, sticky tires, etc.... then one of my best friends bought a 93 TSI awd.... one drive in that thing and I knew I had botched my suspension setup... his car outhandled mine easily, had more grip, and rode much nicer... his suspension was all stock and he even had A/S tires on it...

sure my car looked fabolous and had awesome high speed stability, but when it came to corner it would just push all the time... it drove me nuts... i tried different settings, etc, etc

I've always had good luck with KYB gr2's in the front and KYB AGX adjustables in the rear that way you can setup your rear for your style driving. Springs are a hard choice. I have had good luck with Eibach. I really like Swift springs also!

i still dont get it, I find everyone with a eibach pro kit and kyb/tokicko ride just fine especially for a DD..

Stock is the right answer for a no track use car. It's a good combination of comfort, quietness, and stiffness.

Anyone know of somewhere to get stock or near to stock 1g awd suspension? I've only been able to find shocks, but am having a hard time finding stock(or similar) coil springs. Everything I've seen seems to be lowering springs. Which I don't want since I live in MN and the roads are bad. The previous owner lowered it and it sucks. Everything else about the car is great. I just want it to ride smooth and not feel like I'm bottoming out the suspension constantly!! Ntm bump steer and the additional stress on the other components.
