Hey guys, just want some opinions as to what are the best pads you've found for the Baer kit. The stock Baer pads are pretty lousy. Heard some good things about various Hawk and Performance Friction pads. Any solid recommendations?

I use PF Z-rated and am very happy with them. 01 compound for the track.

2-0turbo: How did these compare to the stock Baer pads? Better feel? More bite? Less fade?

Thanks!

See if you can source some Raybestos Quietstops for them.

Low dust/noise. And they ramp up well with heat.

I thought the stock pads were decent on mine. They did good on the road course I ran.

I now have the Hawk HP+'s. They dust like hell. I have the Porterfield R4S's on the back, and those seem to fit my needs better. The Hawks are almost ready to be replaced, and they really don't have a lot of miles on them either. My rotors are slotted, but not cross drilled.

Todd: Thanks for the info (especially since I'm not running a TCE kit!). How do these compare to some of the other options out there like the R4S's (if you can get them for the PBR caliper) and the Performance Friction Z series? Both of these seem pretty popular with the muscle car croud (from internet searches).

Scott: What are you planning to go with next if you don't like the Hawks?

The pbr caliper is the same one that's used on the Cobra Mustang, and ZR-1 Corvette, there's a huge selection of pads available. I think you need to figure out what your needs are. If it's city driving, and occasional auto-x's, or if it's road courses with occasional pit stops. Once you know what you want, you'll have a better idea on what to look / ask for.

See my pad page for the pad desctiption perhaps?

Can't say for sure on the R4s but the R4 comes in at about .52 from what I'm told.
The S I suspect is less.

Z pads? PFC somehow (like many) never seems to tell you the Mu or Cf of their pads. Wonder why?
