Depends on your goal for the car, and how much you want to spend. You could just port the stock one out some and upgrade the TB. It would help you out some. I have seen some run the obx manifold and like it. Not sure how much of a gain over a stock ported manifold there would be.

Its depends on your goal,let say prefer on the road,traget whp around 300-450,stock intake manifold does the job nicely,but is drag car are you talking about the aftermaket intake was the wise choice.

Magnus does not make any manifolds for the 420A... Please see this thread:

I am running an obx,for a bolt on part it was a lot of work,but venom makes 1,not sure about magnus for the 420a.but i like the obx ,makes my red line way higher and i am not sure about horse power gains ,but if you want aftermarket intake also check out Dodge SRT4 - Dodge Caliber SRT4 - Dodge Neon - Chevrolet Cobalt SS Performance Parts and Accesories and also all motor mike from what ive heard makes the best aftermarket intake of all,,good lick my friend.....viper/////wich is modernperformance

I'm not sure how an intake manifold would alter your redline... that's controlled by the ECU.

Quality issues aside, OBX is one of the only mass produced aftermarket intake manifold available right now. Venom intake manifolds are notoriously overpriced and under-engineered. I would stay away from either... as already mentioned, all_motor_mike makes damn fine manifolds.

Modern Performance does sell parts for 2G N/T DSM's, but not intake manifolds. Be aware that while Neon's share the 420A motor with N/T DSM's, the intake and exhaust manifolds are not compatible.

thx for the correction,i wasnt sure if 2g sold manifolds or not,but before i did my intake an fuel rail ,i would usually red line at 6.5--7.0,kepp in mind i have no rev. lim. or governer,,however it seems to go more around 8 or so now ,like i can stretch the gears out farther,anyway im learning by doing a lot of reading on hear ,and with guys like u,,,V and locke and all motor mike im really enjoying this site,,,,buy the way if you could give me your peronal thoughts on the megasquirt system i would vry much value your opinion...thx your friend viper

Well, it's pretty much the only affordable and easily installed engine management solution available for the 420A. Fortunately, it's also a very good EMS... it's very feature-rich compared to most others. I suggest starting a separate thread concerning this topic, though.

Ive pushed 27psi through an Obx on my gs. Its a good quality product for the cost, i have one on both my cars. I dont have any dyno numbers but i can tell a difference in throttle response especially when i upgraded to a 60mm modern performance throttle body.

Unless you are going turbo or a track n/t. I wouldnt even bother with the manifold.

yea ive heard bout AMM and plan on sending him a pm bout it. Ive seen the venom around a lot but havent heard too much about the obx until now. I also looked at the one that machv makes, since i use to live in va and have gotten parts from them before.

Im not sure if ive seen you around silverclips, but your right we do live pretty close

Are the Individual TB any good, I mean he ain't turbo so it might be a good upgrade, I'm not sure though since I've never used them personally.

that depends on who does it............ usually price dictates quality so i guess in other words u get what u pay for. i do a cutsom manifold that will out to the obx and venom or i could port a stocker but what i charge for a ported stocker is only 50.00 less one of my non ported custom manifolds............ why u ask? because thats alot of porting if u want it all done and done right.

Would I be at risk to mess anything up in my car if i get a obx intake mani and 55mm tb. plez answer back. THANK YOU

u may mess your hp with an obx intake manifold the 55 mm t-body will net u some gains though.
