hey there everyone I just have a quick question I have done the research and I cant find anything to help me, I think my clutch is going out because I dont Grab 2nd with a nice chirp like I used to it just kinda bogs now not a nice chirp like old times, anyways I think its my clutch and I was thinking what would be the best clutch for a 98 Eclipse NT 420A with just CAI and Exhaust thats it i was thinking of a stage 1 or 2 clutch but im not really sure.

So by "stock 420a", you mean not stock? LoL

Depends on if you plan on getting on it much, which by the way you're looking for that chirp it seems like you are.

Stock wouldn't be too bad for you still. Seems to me that the OEM in our cars are pretty strong, especially for N/A. Other than that I wouldn't get anything stronger than a stage 2 or anything.

anything over a stage 1 on a NT will get annoying. My clutch on my 95 ESi was still super grippy at 72,000 miles. I had a short shifter and I could hear the tires in 3rd. If you want to go with a new clutch...get a new stock OEM one or any plate that has a stage 1 rating. Your not going to get anything else out of a stage 2...or a 3. good luck man.

Mine was going out after I bought it. I got a luk gold series. It's a nice feel and pretty good. I'm sure teres better but for some good zoomin around it's not a bad clutch.

i think the stock clutches suck i replaced mine 2 times before i got a SPEC stage 2 trust me you well love it and you grab that 2nd a little harder too, and its only 100 dollers more then you stock clutch. :dsm:
