best bulbs for stock headlights?

I have 6000k hids in my Tsi awd, and they're just OK. Any suggestions? I don't really feel like dealing with ballasts again. What about LED headlight bulbs? I found some on eBay that claim to be 8000k.

Not sure of what exactly you are trying to accomplish. The difference between 6000k and 8000k, is the perceivable color spectrum. For brighter lights, you would want a higher lumens output.
