Besides pot mod what other choice?

I have heard so many negative things about the pot mod for the random missfire codes, and I have heard some positive stories also. Is there any other solutions to the random missfire code besides the pot mod and dsmlink. I have heard also that you can run cam and crank signals, if anyone has done this how did u wire it up???

is there anything else I can do???? And if I do the pot mod cant I just lower my base timing and richen it up via afc to compensate????

I used the pot mod it worked for me so far almost 20,000 miles just try it and if you know some one with a wideband just check the air fuel ratio. I am also looking for a diffrent route im not going to mod the car that much to own a dsmlink.

see I'm not going to mod that much either. But I am so confused on this mod. It makes you run leaner therefore leaner = increased timing, so all I have now is safc and egt, and a/f light gauge which doesn't do anything but can I just retard my base timing or does it only increase timing under WOT????
