bent rims

I have 17 inch gsx wheels and two of them are bent. They are bent on the outside lip. Will this have any effect on the wear of my tires or the way the car rides. I stopped at a local wheel repair shop and the guy said he could fix them for $115 each. Ill add pics soon. Any help would be great thanks.

If the rim cracks, and your tire flies off the rim at 70 miles per hour while navigating an on ramp, it will most certainly affect the way your car rides.

Sometimes a new wheel is much cheaper

Depending on how bent they are you may have a slow air leak, or tire bulge, or wheel hop (if tire is out of round due to the bent, no wheel balancing will help).

Take off the tire and see exactly what else might have happened an see if it can be balanced well

yeah make sure they can be balanced but i have seen really bad bent lips from friends cars being curbed as long as the tire seats and holds pressure and they can be balanced your good to go
