When I bought my car it had a small bend in one of the rims. I attached a pic of the rims I have below. They are 17". Whats the eisiest way to repair it without messing it up more?

Take it to some one who repairs rims and see what they can do.
I like fixing my own stuff. I hate paying people way to much when all it takes is alittle research and effort. I take pride in saying "i did that"
Thinking about a towel and a nice dead blow hammer. Whatcha think

If your heart is set on doing it yourself, I'd heat it a little to soften the metal then use a rubber/dead blow mallet with a towel like you said. I'd use a some sort of object in between to try and follow the contours of the wheel. Take note of measurements to each contour in the rim. You are sacrificing the chance of truly messing up your rim.

Results your going to get from using brute force are going to be far from desirable. Even if your able to get it back into the proper shape (which is a feat in itself), there is a good chance the finish on the wheel will be compromised. Might not bother you now, but it will in a few months when the wheel starts oxidizing like crazy. Yes, this will even happen if you use something along the rim (i.e. a towel) to soften the blow.

I have had excellent results with a company called Transwheel. They (or any reputable wheel refinishing company you choose) will reshape and refinish the wheel to look brand new again. If they can't (there is always a possibility the bent wheel has a crack you can't see), they will find a replacement and refinish that one for you at the same cost. Yes it will cost some money (50 to over 100 per wheel depending on the damage), but it will be done right and the wheel will be brand new (well, remanufactured but you get the idea).

All of this is from first hand experience. I've tried both ways, the free one just doesn't work out all to well.

Can i see a picture of this 'bend' so i can properly tell you a way to get it done. Anytime you hit an alloy or alum rim you take the chance on cracking the shit out of it. So heat will be your friend, map gas torch.
