Before and After Valve Cover *pic*

I just got done installing a newly powder coated valve cover. I sent it off to Bonehead Performance and got it back today. I replaced the valve cover gasket, spark plug wires, PCV valve, new stainless steel bolts and put on the new spark plug cover I got from SEL on eBay. Here's the before and after pic. Also wanted to mention that the before pic was not my doing, was that way when I bought the car.

Well those are the NGK ones so they just happen to match.

That and it would be interesting to watch spark plug wires melt in the powder coating process.

Not sure about the poop brown inner cover, but other than that it looks good.

And I don't think plug wires would melt in a 400 degree oven.

They did a great job. They cleaned it thoroughly and it costed $70 because it's an anodized blue (tough to tell from the pic) so it's a little extra and it was $20 to polish the lettering.

Also, it would look sweet with a polished/blue oil cap

Looks good, I've had a few things powdercoated by Bonehead, they are good. You need to run a heat shield on that exhaust manifold. www.jmfabrications.com makes a nice SS one to go with your spark plug cover.

Yeah I ordered mine when he had 5 left and it was down to 1 earlier today I guess someone else got it. I'm sure he'll make more soon. The hardware and the gasket I got off of eBay as a combination with another valve cover for $60.00. So it was a good deal. Yeah I'm getting a polished ralliart oil cap, it just hasn't come yet, it was cheap, I'll see how it looks. I'm sure I'll get a polished greddy oil cap later.

Yeah I was looking at that stuff. I wonder how difficult it would be to drill a hole in it for the EGT Probe.

Very easy. I drilled one in mine with no problem. You can request a hole to be cut on it to fit a manifold-mounted wastegate at no charge, so I'd imagine he'd drill an EGT probe hole also, if you told him how far back on the runner it is. Maybe?...
