Beeping Sound from intake

i am hearing a beeping sound from the intake. what could this be? i have no idea, but it is annoying as hell! any advice/help is appreciated. thanks

On a serious note, there's nothing intake-wise that could beep that I can think of. Can you take a video or audio clip of this "beep"?

The sound is definitly coming from the intake, i'll try to get a clip of it later

I thought that came from a laptop just before the floor pan explodes...

this is gonna sound stupid, but are all the bolts tight? could it possibly be metal hitting metal? an intake valve doing whacky things, a hose clamp loose hitting a hard UICP. Something like that??

here is a screwy way to find out where it is coming from... get a small ID piece of Vac line, about 3 ft long. put a nail with no head on it in the end with the pointy end coming out. put the OTHER end (cant stress this enough. do this wrong and BAAADD things can happen....) in your ear. Voila! cheap mechanics stethoscope. just touch the nail to various parts of the mani and tell us wher the sound is coming from. Just make sure the nail is in nice and snug.

an alternate method if youare not brave enough for the nail in the hose trick is to use a long bladed screwdriver. put the handle to your ear and proceed the same.

I cant really think of anything that could be Beeping in there. I think that it is most likely just something loose making itself known.

i think you hear the same beep as i do, like if i am working under the hood, and have my key on and the tunes going, i would hear a beep beep beep beep, then it would quit, and wouldnt come back for a while, it makes me wonder sometimes, but i dont know. It comes from the intake manifold area, no clue as to what it is though.

i'm pretty sure the beep is coming from the mas, no clue what it's for though, just really annoying.

Is it doing it while idleing???, if yes then try cracking the throttle a little and see if it goes away. It could be a small vacuum leak, or just air running past the throttle plate at idle.

Sometimes capacitors can make those types of sounds, but I'm not sure if there's anything electrical like that anywhere near there. Usually when I hear funny noises like that, I've found that it's coolant making sounds as the air expands & contracts in the cooling system through the course of the day.
