Im trying to get this throttle body on my car and working so i can take it to the shoot out, but i seem to be havin a hard time trying to figure out what im going to do with the IAC, the rustang IAC, is a 2 wire stepper motor set up, where as what ever is on a stock dsm is a 6 wire, has anyone had experiance with this and the know how of what to do if you can help me please do!!!!!!!

I've searched and found plenty of stories about the shafts breaking on the BBK 75mm throttle bodies, but sub-par information regarding the BBK 62mm direct bolt on tb. Plus the threads are years old. [/url]
I had one on the car for about 2 years. It's not worth the money in my opinion. It leaks out the shaft, now so I took it off and it has become a paper weight. Take your money and buy a rebuilt and bored 1G one instead. You'll be further ahead later down the road.
I know a few guys that have used the larger (70mm+) BBK TBs and they suck. Everyone that I know that ran them have snapped the TB shaft. I cant imagine the smaller one being any better. Personally I wouldn't look to upgrade the TB until I replaced the intake manifold.
Do a search for BBK on here, people are breaking them left and right, myself included. Stock with stock, or if you get an aftermarket manifold, get a Ford Racing or Accufab.

Just what I read

Has any one even attempted to wire the Ford IAC to the DSM harness? it seems that a few dollars for wire is much cheaper than an $85 adapter. Since both of the IACs (I think) are stepper motors, you should be able to feed the 4 signals coming from the ECU to the signal wire in the Ford IAC. The only wire connection I am not sure of is the wire supplying the signal to the injectors, purge solenoid, fuel pressure solenoid, and EGR control solenoid. Any one that has an AEM ECU so it should be no problem.

I just thought of another option. If you have an AEM ECU, you could connect the black/white stripe wire to the 76pin on the ECU. I just do not know where to connect the red wire; is it a 12v source or a 5v source? I am guessing it is a 12v source since the device is a PWM and it is using the differential between power and ground.

There is a reason that FFtec designed the ISC adapter. Instead of trying to figure out how it won't work go and mow some lawns. Instead of wasting your time you can make the money to purchase the adapter. ;)

Yeah, but mowing lawns would take to much time. But if anyone doesn't want to mow lawns to pay for the adapter, the answer is 12v.
