I just finished dropping new motor in my car. With my motor that I blew I never had any issue like this, and didn't change anything about wiring.
while being jumped the car will fire right up and run sound, as long as jumpers are still connected. As soon as you remove one clamp the lights dimmed and gradually died off. Kept trying to figure it out. After a little while of trying we realized the battery light was even staying on while cables were hooked up. What would cause that? Brand new alt was put on cause original was junk. We triple tested new one at store, both used to work for AutoZone, so we know the possibilities of a faulty alt...but it passed all three times. What could be causing this? Is it the battery itself? I've yet to take it to get tested

Good luck!
