Was driving to work today, then left to go get gas. turned the car off, and it turned on without a problem. I drive back, hit a few big bumps and when I turned my car off at work, everything completely shut off(lights, door light, etc)

I notice a black wire dangling by the battery, coming from the ECU. I think that might solve the problem because I have never seen it there before.

The battery is still good because I jumpstarted it and worked fine, then I had my battery light turn on while driving.

I tested a few things out, when I turn my High beams on, my radio stops playing and resets. the battery is obviously not getting any power.

Can someone explain where that black wire in the picture goes?

help ###, I need it for tomorrow.

looks like it was tied into your negative terminal and came out. that's just what i'm gathering from the crimped end in the picture. stick it back in there and tighten it TIGHT. then try again :) let us know what that does... if it makes you feel better... trace the wire back to where it ends up and let us know where it goes to but i'm almost positive it came out of your terminal

hmmm... interesting...if it wasn't freezing balls outside i'd go pop the hood on my little GS and check out the wires around it. if you haven't gotten this resolved by daylight i'll do that and get back to ya :)

its not the battery, it keeps a 12.5-.6 voltage. It loses voltage when I start touching the bolts holding down the terminal wires, and then goes to about 8v.

Its losing power as I go from Terminal>bolts>wire.
It doesnt even start when I have the charger in, only starts when I jumpstart it.

check out the picture

voltage is not dropping. voltage dissapears once I take charger off. but i cleaned the female and male portion of the battery with a screw driver, and charged it one more time on 10 amps, it started :)

thank god, any thing around the house I can use to clean the female wire?

well, my car is up and running already. not bad for a mediocre.

pour baking soda on wires and terminal, cleaned it up. Hopefully this wont happen again, otherwise im gonna run this car in the middle of the street to get totaled :hellyeah:
