On my 95 GSX when I let it sit for a couple days with battery hooked up, the battery will drain. I have a new battery and when its running the battery reads over 13 volts, so the alternator is good. I did the test where you unplug the negative cable from battery and use a test light to look for power on the negative side and I found out there is power on the negative side. I started pulling fuses and when I pulled out the ignition fuse the light went away. There's a short or something wrong in the ignition system that's making the battery drain. I checked and didn't see any bad wires or bad connections. Any ideas?

Very good troubleshooting up until now I must say, done text book style. Now, you isolated the ignition circuit is the problem of the draw. excellent. Next step, is asking what components are involved in this circuit? Handy use of your schematic will fix your problem easier if you got one on the "electrical" circuit of that year. You now know by your schematic what parts are involved, use your schematic and find out what components are in that circuit and locate each of them. You know about where it is which is why your almost there, hang on. Now, you have go thru the circuit, and here is what I do.

Go for easiest components to unplug first. You have to back track that circuit from it's source which is your good news. The fuse is good so you know it's got power, so mystery solved there. Now, go unplug each item in that circuit until that draw test "light" goes off with the fuse plugged back in. When that test light goes "off" you have "isolated" the problem. Replace defective component and recheck for draw. See how easy it is? Now go do it! :thumb:

I'll do the testing Sunday and see what happens. Thanks a lot for the help.

I'll just leave it as it is, I don't feel like working on it any longer. Thanks for the help.
