When I bought my 90 Laser Rs the car wouldn't go over 3200rpm, the tach would go counter clockwise when i'd give it gas after 3200rpm's and the stock boost gauge didn't work. The previous owners son cut a wire on the Maf (Green w/White strip) which was for the barometric pressure sensor. I Bought the car, pulled the ecu, they had put a n/t ecu in the car:banghead:. Luckily it was owned by a 55 year old man with a feather foot. Put in a 90 eclipse turbo non eprom ecu and it made all the difference. but the tach still wig's after 3200 or under a load. I hooked up the maf wire and the car would idle. But had the worst throttle response. I'd give it gas and it would slowly follow afterword's. Wouldn't move in gear. So I put in a different maf. Hooked the wire up. Does the same think. But run's like a top with the wire unhooked? :hmm: Maybe I got another f----d up maf? It is the barometric pressure sensor wire tho. What you guy's think
Thank's
Matthew

Are you 100% sure the Ecu was a 90 Ecu? sounds like a 91+ in a 90 to me

That's exactly what it would do with out some form of tach adapter

Post a pic of the Ecu Case and Ecu Board and/or part numbers I say the Board because a lot of ECU's are no longer in the correct cases

Pretty sure the OP already is aware of that as they posted in that thread an hour an half ago... .

If in-fact that is a 91+ Ecu this is what needs to be done HERE to run the Ecu... . Also just a note 90 Ecu's can be used in 91+ with just swapping the 6 & 14 pin wires.

If your in-fact using a 90 Ecu I would inspect it for damage

Your Safc has nothing to do with why your tach isnt reading it has to do with how the diffeant ecus are is seeing an use the sgnal.

Read the link I posted an you should understand what is going on if this is in-fact a 91+ ecu

Isc? You never mentioned it that I recall

Pull it an test it
