here it is, im about to leave town but i think my car is unsafe to drive, i believe i have a busted ball joint, my engine sounds like its going to fall out everytime i hit a bump, so i took off the wheel suspecting a possible lowerball joint problem, just need to verify that this is what the problem is, i can grab that arm and freely move it back and forth until it clunks against the bracket, here are some pics there not the best but...

Have you had the recall replacement performed? Either way, don't drive it until you get it fixed.

Have :dsm: fix the recall'd LCAs

Also note.... A torn ball joint boot (as shown in picture) means your ball joint will fail within a few thousand miles.

Ball joints do NOT like dirt and water mixed in with their grease.

thanks for reassuring what i was thinking, I'm dropping it off at SATANS house today to have it replaced, it shows that the car had it replace last year like 7k miles ago, but I'm thinking no freaking way it would've been this busted up this fast....luckily I'm in pretty good with the repair manager, he told me that he would talk to his rep and get it all done as a recall, even though its *already been done*, but he was cool about it, so we'll see

Your photo is not good but that arm does not to appear to have been replaced for several years. Mine were replaced about 3 years ago. They still have black paint and stickers on them.

hey, so heres the update, first off i appreciate all your inputs, i didnt really think driving on it was immeadiatly serious. but when i took it to SATANS they told me that they couldnt believe that BOTH arms hadnt already busted off, and that the joints were one of the most abused ones they had ever seen, funny thing is, both were supposedly replaced no less than a year ago from a local dealership{LYNN HICKEY MITSUBISHI} LOCATED IN OKLAHOMA FOR ALL READING, DO NOT GO THERE!! so i thought that that was about the crappiest thing i had ever heard of, they just looked at them, left them and said the recall had been performed......im a bit bitter about that, that stunt coulda really been bad if one of them broke, im done venting now! but fowler mitsubishi made it right so at least they didnt jerk me around, they just looked at it and replaced everything for free, thanks guys!
