my friend and i installed a ballbearing pte 50 trim into his eclipse, and now whenever we turn the engine off it sounds like we can hear the turbo 'spooling down'. is this normal? i figured since they probably spin for a long time after shutdown that this is the sound we are hearing. thanks!

Yes its normal. BB turbos will even spin for a long time if you spin it by hand. So yes, they go for quite awhile after going at full speed.

That's sweet, you know it's building the most boost it can. Not many cars can have positive pressure while turned off :)

ok thats good news! had me worried a little, because its pretty loud. i thought something was wrong! i guess the metal intake pipe i put on with it amplifies the sound too!
