Alright I've discovered some more problems with my new talon. After getting inside the timing cover to replace the bad timing belt I found that the balance shaft belt has all its teeth worn off. The front balance shaft has quite a bit of play. Probably meaning it has gone bad. My question is what else might be bad along with it. I'll probably go with an eliminator kit. So do I need two eliminator kits to replace both the front and the rear? But is there any other problems I should look for?

If the car was running fine I would just cut the belt and not worry about it.. Less rotational inertia too. I cut mine.. not sure if you car has a different setup...

Yeah then you risk the chance of it sending bearings through the block, as well as having that rotational mass still taking up horsepower. Someone explained it as knowing you have a dormant cancer in your leg. Just because its dormant doesn't mean you shouldn't remove it. I have done some studying on this and I've read the vfaq on the eliminator. The only thing I really want to know is if there is any other problems I should look for while I'm in there.
