A couple of thoughts.

For those new to the BBK offerings, the TCE kits are available in both .81 and 1.10 rotors standard. As well as 1.25 monsters. The early kits were fit with the .81 for the reason of wheel fit. At the time this was one of the few four pot kits to even fit the stock wheel with 13" rotors. Things improved over time as wheel fit became more friendly. Fitting multi piston calipers inside the wheel (1G is the hardest) nets some real challenges for space. To that end the Baers have a real advantage. The 2G is much more BBK friendly to all the makers.

Yes, pads DO make a huge difference in clamp load. T or Tan pads are mild street pads and have no place on the track. But others don't like the dust and noise associated with such pads as the D and E compounds. You just can't please everyone all the time. For those with the Baers you also have some choices which may enhance your brakes performance as well. Shop around a bit.

There are also two piece Bear replacements available for you if you choose to upgrade from their current one piece design. This is a 1.10 rotor as well, is directional and has an aluminum hat center. I've sold dozens to the Mustang guys who want either more affordable replacements or dedicated track rotors. Again, to each his own.

just to let you know thats for a bare rotor. i called hopupracing and got a price and it was about 130$ more then that plus shipping. cross drilling and slotting and zinc coating adds up to 130$ plus 50$ for shipping and the wait time is like 4-6 weks.

Well, cross drilling and slotting is a waste of expensive surface area to me; so I am not concerned with that.

I would recomend the zinc plating though. The only difference between the BAER blah kit and the track is the rotor dia and the adaptor plate. This causes a 1/2" gap where the pad doesn't sweep the rotor and it get a little crusty.

Drilling is a waste. Slotting is not. Zinc coating is just for looks, I could care less about that.
