I took my talon dl to the local drag strip to test my 0-60 and 0-100 (it did better than i thought it would ) but on both of my 0-100 runs as soon as i hit about 70 i got this real bad shaking in the car not just the stearing wheel the whole car i have no clue were to start looking for the problem tell me what you think

Likely culprits:
- Bent wheel (stupid potholes)
- improper wheel balance (stupid potholes)
- Axle CV joint failing (check boots for tears)
- rear wheel bearing failure

If you have access to a lift you could take the car up to the problem speed to diagnose the first three

One of my DSM's was doing the same thing for me and I took it to the local Firestone for a 'FREE' alignment check...

I was not about to let them work on my car but after they lifted my car up and showed me the bad ball joints, I knew what had to be fixed and did the work myself. Saved a bunch of money buying the parts myself, not to mention labor costs (and Firestone didn't charge me to look at it).

I would definitely check your ball joints and have your wheels balanced if they have not been done in a while. Wheel balancing does not cost a lot and will allow you to rule that out as one of your problems...

You may end up costing yourself more money in the long run if you wait for this shaking problem to get worse, Be careful and get it looked at soon. If you can, do the repairs yourself and save some money. Let us know what you find out about it...
