Ok this seems to nearly be an end all of everything. I finally got my car running PERFECT last night. I did 10 or so laps around my neighborhood to make sure everything was fine. Everything was, so I drove out to the local car club meet since some people have been anticipating seeing it and I just wanted to get out. Well, on my way home, I somehow develop a massive oil leak. The dispstick has just one small drop on the very end of it of oil. The ENTIRE driver's side of the car is filmed in oil. I can't tell where the oil is coming from. It's not the turbo, feed or return, or oil filter housing, or drain plug.

Where the hell could all this oil be coming from the could soak the entire driver's side of my car in oil, including suspension?

Check your cam seals. What kind of seals did you use when you did the cams? I've heard of people having alot of trouble with aftermarket cam seals leaking real bad.

Also check to make sure your PCV system is functional and not plugged. If you trap all your blowby in your crankcase, it'll take the path of least resistance out, which usually means through one of the seals, taking some oil with it on the way.

Then the best advice I can give to you is to clean the motor off real good with solvent so it gets all the oil off and the motor is dry. Then just start it and let it run and look for the leak.

Make sure the hydraulic tensioner bolts are both tight. I reset timing after jumping a tooth and didnt tighten it down. Proceeded to drive it since it was down for a month or so and my belts started squealing and me and a friend pull over. Rained the next day and couldnt fix it. Tow it back and eventually figure out it is just on of the bolts that hold the hydraulic tensioner in the block. Sorry, I like telling stories

Is there an oil leak in your story some where?

Yea, oil filter is still there. That was the first thing I checked. Then I checked the turbo oil feed and return lines but they are fine. I won't have time til tomorrow morning to start the tear down I think.

Yes, this is a 4g63T motor. I had just gotten dsmlink and PTE 880's, and was hoping that would be the last bit of money I'd be spending on her for a long while...

I'm not entirely sure at the moment, like stated previously, I don't have time to work on it for a couple days most likely(I'm on lunch break right now). But it definitely is oil pan or timing/front case related. I'll take off the covers and get a better look when I get the first chance.
