I replaced my oxygen sensor like 10 months ago. i have a boost leak coming out of my turbo but i should be throwing in my big 16g soon. I recently fixed a bad boost look near the intercooler. Now i know i was running rich, because my friend told me that when i was gunning it, i had alot of black smoke. I just got my datalogger last night, and my O2 sensor is at 2.97, it doesn't move. I was wondering is it because i was running rich with the boost leak that killed the O2 sensor or what. The boost leak that i had was pretty big. Should i just buy a new one when i throw the new turbo in. And this is off topic, but will putting a ported 2g o2 housing with a stock exhuast but with the big16g help at all. Thanks

This catches new people all the time. If your using MMCd the correct O2 sensor is O2-R not O2-F.

thanks for letting me know that but i still have a porblem then, i think, when my car is idleing or at a low rpm, my o2 reading is at 0.00, but when i stepped on the gas and was at like 6,000rpms, the sensor read .90 volts. I know that the number should be fluctuating up and down right. Thanks.

Once the car warms up and goes into closed loop it should cycle.
The voltage will start out low and if the sensor is any good it will start to climb as the heater works. About 106F ECT on a '90 ECU it will try to enter closed loop but is the car is too rich or too lean it will fail. Reading 0v unless you rev the car up sounds more like a bad heater.

Did you use a OEM sensor or some cheap universal?

Steve

well i bought the sensor at auto zone for like 60 dollars, it might be a universal, but how much is an oem one. thanks

well i drove around today with the datalogger on, what i noticed was that my 02 sensor followed the rpm line, like when i revved it the o2 sensor would go up with it and down with it. when i was idleing, it stayed at zero, but when my car was had the car at 1600rpms for a while(flat line on graph), the o2 sensor would bounce up and down like it is supposed to do, should i replace it with an oem one. if so where should i get it for the cheapest. Thanks

Either from JNZ tuning or get one of the Denso ones online.
What you want to avoid is the autoparts stores and anything you have to wire up.

If that's how yours is behaving even ater you've been driving around for a while I'd replace it.

Steve

what do you mean by if i have to wire it up, the 4 wires were already connected to the o2 sensor and i just had to plug it into the plug on the other side of the motor. I will look for a denso one though. Thanks steve
