A little history on the car. 2.4 4g64, 6 bolt 4g63 head, forged internals with 14b and been giving her one helluva ride for the past 9k miles. My stock boost gauge was turned into knocksum gauge. For the past 9k i have been driving since i got my car done, i never seen knock more then 1 or 2 times, only when i picked up bad 93 octane gas. Then all the sudden put my newly powder coated IM on and then all the sudden after 3,500rpm in 2nd and 4,000rpm in 3rd my knocksum gauge maxes out and the car studders pretty bad. Why all the sudden is it doing this? All i did was swap manifolds.. Thanks guys

Recheck all your wiring connectors, check the sensor make sure it didnt somehow get damaged, have you done a blt? Are you seeing any differences in logs from before and after besides the knock? What IM is it?

I went from a un coated 6bolt IM to a powder coated 6bolt IM. And im not sure what ''blt'' is? Ive been doing some research online and im going to check the dtc's from my CEL. The CEL has always been on because of the lack of a rear o2. Ill check that in the morning with evo scan. Im hoping its just a dead knock sensor? Because i have a 95 eprom, evo scan logs SUPER SLOW, so what values should i log if its not my knock sensor?? Thanks for the help.

oh, and forgot to mention, my tps is still within adjustment, all my harness's are 200% plugged in. Forgot to add that in my last post. thanks

BLT = Boost Leak Test.

You will want to be looking at the fuel trims, o2 sensor feedback, wideband if you have one, knock sum, knock voltage.

okay, ill do just that. I did however get a brand new bosch o2 sensor just yeasterday, my old one was okay, but getting a little lazy.. The new one made a dramatic affect on my cars idle, acceleration and knock controle, it used to knock close to 2,500rpm in any gear. I do have UEGO WB, but its not spliced into the ecu for logging. Im sure i could get that done tomorrow as well? Now, i do not know how to read a log, i know i need to learn but i honestly have no ambition to learn that type of thing. Whats the best way to post a log on this thread? And hopefully i can get some help from you experienced tuners out there?

Wiring in the WB is fairly easy there are a bunch of write ups on it. Just wire it into your rear o2 wiring. Also head over to evolutionm.net and there is a ton of info on how to read the logs, the scalings you will need to set up the WB in evoscan, and just a bunch of good info.

As far as posting a log if you go into your saved datalogs folder in evoscan they are all saved as excell files so if you cant figure out how to post one of those up here shoot me a pm and ill give you an email addy to send it to and ill take a look at it.

will do on the pm if i cant get it, and ill report back around noon'ish.. Ill get the WB tapped in somewhere and hopefully by my noon apointment back, LOL.. Thanks

P0136 Oxygen Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0141 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P1400
P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit

Thats what i had for DTC's. I cleared them and then they came back, im assuming sensor 2 is the rear o2 sensor, and i do not have that. And i eliminated my evap stuff. Is it better to post a log of where it just show numbers or actually in a graph? Ill need some help with either one, not sure how to do it..

Problem is fixed. When i was checking my knock sensor, i noticed the IM support bracket was loose. I have no balance shafts with solid motor mounts and from the bracket vibrating it was setting off the knock sensor. When jeff did my chip, he eliminated the phantom knock when ever the ecu reads vacume. So as soon as i went into any boost my knock sensor went crazy..
