Alright so its day 1 after my rebuild. Car ran good last night except for boost leak. Today, about 45 degree temp, car cranks and sounds out of time or bad plugs.Car shakes like an earthquake. I have to hold the gas for it to idle about 2000rpm for a min or so until its warm and then it idles fine thereafter. Ive searched around about bad isc motors and nothing sounds quite as bad as my situation. Maybe boost leak is making it worse? Maybe a half a$$ boost controller from previous owner? Idk what the prob is and it is causing a cel . HELP

Well, 1 day after your rebuild? Your not suppose to let the car idle on its own until it warms up for the first 100miles or so. So yeah, after a fresh rebuild the car is going to want to idle low. Also don't drive at one sustained RPMs, always fluctuate your RPMs for the first 500 miles. Plus you need to think about how your doing your break in. Babying wont seal your rings, but beating the crap out of it might do damage (though that's kinda what I did and I have perfect compression). Plus I hope your using Non-Detergent oil for the first 150 miles, and then don't use synthetic until after 1000 miles. Should be changing your oil at 20 miles, 150, then conventional till like 300 and 500 and then what ever you want at 1000 and changed it like you would normally. You can do what ever you like, there's different methods, but not doing any research and just taking a fresh engine out for a DD isn't going to give your engine the best life expectancy..

That's my 2cents.

Wow! I didn't know that, I'll have to keep that in mind when I get mine all put back together, thanks!

Yeah i know i know but the car wont run without holding the throttle. Anyways i am aware of the break in process. I took it out and at wot in 2nd gear until 4000 rpm when the fuel cut from the infinite boost and let off the throttle and let it coast back down. I did that atleast 6 times the first night. Checked compression yesterday and 150 across the board! So changed oil and just kinda takin it easy on it right now til i get the boost leaks and isc motor worked out. And thanks for the link.
