Backing out turbo housing bolts???????

What is the best way to back out the turbo housing bolts from the exhaust manifold without stripping or snapping them? I am helping a buddy out and I have done mine before but snapped all four and that was no fun drilling them out. I am sure some of you know this. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

I spray ince aday for about a week. after spraying I rap on the bolt head w/ a bigg adjsutable wrench or 16ounce hammer. Don't beat the he!! out of it. Just a nice few smacks.

Never broke a bolt yet:p
 
Use high temp anti sieze (copper or nickel based---usually a special order item) on the threads before reinstalling to avoid these problems in the future. The regular anti sieze you find on the shelf at most parts stores won't hold up to the heat.
 
Put something under the turbo to support the weight, many broken turbo bolts are caused by the weight of the turbo pulling the bolts in an weird angle as it starts to drop.
 
Another way to fix this. Instead of using turbo bolts, use ARP main studs. Nut on the bottom, and Nut on the top, nice tight fit, that doesnt backout, or freeze in the turbo.

Sounds akward. Most guys prefer to remove even the one stud that is on stock turbos to make removing/replacing the turbo easier. On the 16G at least one of the bolt holes is not even through and through. On the other 3 bolt holes they are so close to the body of the turbine housing that I think it would be pretty difficult to get a nut on there.

As far as the bolts backing out if you use the convex washers in the recommended manner it should not be a problem.;) :)
