backed into my car and broke my drive side mirror

my mom today backed into my car and broke my drive side mirror.. does anyone know how to take it off ????? please dont make fun of me im really stumped.

Pop off the plastic triangle on the inside and then there are two or three 10mm bolts. After that just unplug the wire.

Make sure you dont break the plastic piece that holds the black cover on the metal bracket. If you do you will end up like me with both of the black triangles in the glovebox and a wire harness dangling from each mirror. A real eyesore on a nice looking car. Also if you are not sure what I am talking about then you will know when the snap!
