AWD trans stronger than FWD?

I'm hearing things that a stock AWD 5 speed is much stronger than a built FWD 5 speed. Is this true? GST trannies are hard to find and if it is, I see a AWD 5 speed tranny in my car in the future since my auto is slowly dying. I know there's a spline difference between an AWD and FWD but I believe either a FWD diff or a FWD Quaife can be put in its place right? I don't believe there's a spline difference between a FWD manual and auto but I think the driver side axle is like half a inch shorter? Someone clear it up for me please? Passenger side axle should be usable.

You could just get AWD axles.

The FWD vs. AWD thing is mainly the options the AWD trans has for it. Since there were never any FWD Evo III's there aren't really any good gear ratio options for the FWD like there is the AWD. That's where most of the AWD's "beefy" parts come from.

This is also why TRE's stage 3 FWD build is: $1800
And their AWD Stage 3 build is: $2600

There's just SO many more combination of parts to be put into the AWD.

I could but since I have FWD axles I don't see the point in getting AWD ones when I could just replace the diff. Good to know, so it really isn't stronger? I been following a thread on Link. Kinda didn't make sense to me but I don't know.
