What's the difference between a 1st Gen awd exhaust an 2nd Gen. I have a. 90 tsi with no exhaust I'm wondering if a cat back fro a second Gen woud wk

If im not mistaken, 1g's exhaust runs out the right side of the bumper, 2g's on the left. I dont see any way it would fit.

Correct, exhaust on the 1st generation GSX exited out of the right side of the vehicle. 2nd generation GSX's exhaust exit the left side of the vehicle. It will not work, sorry.

I have seen a couple 1g cars with the exhaust exiting on the left side like the 2g cars. Just look at the teal car in this picture. I don't know if they were using any parts of an actual exhaust made for a 2g though.:idontknow:

could be wrong but, I thought that the exhaust coming out the left side on a 1g was for nt cars. turbo cars were on the right and nt on the left or was that all 1g were right and 2g were left. I forget as it has been a while since i kept up with the 2. I never really liked the 2g body style myself though. Have owned 4 1g and all turbo and 3 awd. never cared to own a 2g. No offense to the 2g owners.

my bad. I guess i remembered wrong then. I know they did change with the 2g but wasnt sure if they did from nt to t. thanks for clearing that up for me. guess any 1g with the exit on the drivers side is a custom job.
