i have the autometer 0-100psi electrical oil pressure guage and i was wondering if i would be able to splice into the stock sending unit, and run a power and ground. i am not sure if this would work or not, but if anyone knows... it would be a huge help. thanks.

That should NOT work. The sending units are calibrated to the gauge. You must use the autometer send unit with the autometer gauge. I've got my sending unit on the -8an line coming from my evo oil filter housing. I believe that for a 2g there is an oil port @ the head. You can buy an adaptor from summitracing and take the pressure from there (passenger side). This is where the 1g's take their oil for the turbo I believe. I wish mine was there, because I'm always pegging the 100psi gauge. If I was at the head (as I recommend), it would read lower and show me the LOWEST pressure in the system, not the highest (before the oil filter).

I bought a 3/8in T-fitting and screwed that into my oil filter housing where my stock gauge sending unit was. Screwed the stock gauge sending unit into one end, and my SS 3 foot oil feed line onto the other end and located my Autometer electric sending unit onto the firewall (remember to ground the sending unit to the firewall or you will not have accurate results!). The electric Autometer sending units have a tendency to fail when connected dirrectly to the engine due to vibration.

I personaly am more intrested in what oil pressure is at the housing... Being that my turbo is fed from the filter housing..

Ok i just installed mine and mounted the sending unit on the firewall. I'm reading the pressure from the oil filter housing, but my gauge is pegged at 100+psi and won't move from there. What could be the problem here?

Look at the back of the gauge and you'll see where it says "I" (ignition) "P" (positive/power) and "GND" (ground). Reversing any of the wires will cause the gauge to peg as soon as you hit the ignition and not allow it to move. Check your wiring and you should be fine.

Mine is pegged at 3krpm or so. I run 15w-50. That is why I recommend the head port.

On the back there is an "s" for signal going to the sending unit, then "Gnd" ground, then "I" ignition. I have the signal going to the sending unit the ground, grounded out and then the ignition connected to a 12v source. Does this sound right?

yes i have it the same way. But i rather have it read from the filter housing and notice a problem their before the loss of pressure gets to the rest of the engine.
