Can i get 11s on a stock auto tranny..if not what would i need

ok sorry i didnt want to clutter it up.

Are 11s possible with my 95 tsi fwd auto tranny or should i just look for a manual? I need to know before i go buying an auto tranny?

Im running a 2g fwd tranny that has been in the nines before and it will once again be in the nines next season, I would suggest getting a shift kit from ipt and looking in to a torque converter from ipt or precision industry's

Forgot to mention that yes it is a good idea to install a shift kit and a larger transmission cooler if your going to put some power through that A/T.

You are going to want to pick up a shift kit at the least, also a torque converter from precision industry's or ipt would get the job done. The next week link of your tranny would then be 3 gear, the stock 3rd has for frictions, ipt and kiggly both sell upgraded 3rd's.

How much power are you looking to put down, what turbo? what rpm are you looking to shift at? If you are going to be putting to much power down you might want to look into getting an upgraded 3rd gear clutch basket. ipt and kiggly have great options.

allright thanks ill start looking around but i just wanted to know if i should not buy the automatic im going today to pick it up.. i finally going back to the 4g63 because the 420a wasnt cutting it for me!

Shift kit, End clutches, Trans cooler, temp gauge, new fluid/manual vavle/filter/gasket.

That will set you for some decent power for a while. And all together i guess no more than maybe like 3-400 bucks.

And you can do it all yourself, it's easy.

Personally, if you want straight line action, a/t is the place to be. Consistent like crazy, and you can brake boost, and leave the line with 10+psi.

Yea good thats what i like to hear because i just went and got the car today it is having some shifting problems but thats a different thread take a look and tell me what yous think.
