i have a 1991 eagle talon awd that came factory with an auto. i changed over to a 5-speed awd trans for about a year with out changing the rear diff with no problems then i changed over to a 5-speed 4 bolt because i blew up the 3 bolt. now i am makeing to much power and keep blowing up 5-speed tranys so i am going back to an auto with a stall. my question is do i have to change over the rear dif gears or can i change out the front gear in the auto from the 5-speed to match the 5-speed rear in it now?

you are "making to much power" and breaking 5-speed tranny's? if you are putting down these massive amounts of hp that you say you are why do you think an auto tranny will hold up any better?how about a tre tranny or shep tranny?
