How do you guys launch your cars? Every time I try to launch, I get massive amounts of lag

Umm, I've only ever test driven an auto 1g awd. had a 16g and some other bolt ons.
I launched it on the test drive and it felt great. All I did was stall it up and pre-load with the e-brake then dropped it. Launched hard as hell no lag at all.

If your still on the auto ecu..Its not going to launch right.
The auto ecu retards timing when brake boosting..But a 5 speed ecu will change that.
You should be able to get at least 2500 rpm of stall..Maybe less depending on your bakes.
Positive the trans wasn't slipping. It launches hard. And I don't have a trans temp guage yet. The turbo got louder and louder as the rpm's climbed too. But it shifts fine and pulls hard in every gear. It has a fairly good sized trans cooler also. What color are the stock converters? The one in my car is light blue
Define "Stall it up" please. I have a similar setup to that and would like to actually be able to take-off
Did you get it figured out? Might help to rev the engine a bit in neutral before putting it in 1st. That will help your brake booster hold the brakes. Launching/brake boosting definitely cooks/destroys trans fluid if you aren't careful. Trans temp gauge is crucial! There's a great stickey about launching over on DSMtalk
