im going to be buying audiobahns new 15 immortal sub it has 2250 rms watts and 5000 peak and with this i have to decide on an amp im lookin at the legacy 1200 Watts X 2 Output 2400 Watts x 1 Bridged Output i really dont know enough about this audio so if this will run alright help me out please i don't want to spend teh money for a big name amp

Ouch, You are REALLY going cheap on that amp there. Trust me, I learned first hand, Legacy products are total crap and their amp ratings are not even correct (lower then stated). I have not even used or heard more crappy products than from legacy. I guess they are ok if your just looking for a little bit of cheap low-quality quiet bass, but otherwise, stay away (Ive blown 4 legacy subs and 1 amp, and I never even abused them). If your going to go with those subs, your going to want a high-powered, quality amp. I personally would get a audiobahn amp to power that sub.

Oh, I should add, Legacy likes to advertise by 'Max Output Watts' (for giving that extra bit of power for a split second for a hard hitting lower bass note), instead of 'RMS' or 'Continous Output Watts' (the power your sub will continously be getting). So in other words, your going to end up severely underpowering that sub. I doubt legacy even makes an amp close providing the power that sub needs. When looking at amps, pay attention to the 'RMS Watts', as that is what really matters.

ummm..... try pyramid... i got a '4awg' amp kit and its like 8. LOL thats what i call a horrible company! legacy has their 1000watt amps and theyre fused at 15amps LOL. atleast my 1000watt metric audio amp is fused at 30. but i did just buy an audiobahn amp. says 800watts rms bridged. i call bull shit on that.... 400rms id believe. either way itll prob be too much for my single mtx 10" 8000.

i forgot the model number its like 800at or at8002 or something. was $380 at circuit city and i got it for 160new shipped off ebay, using buy it now. boom boom :thumb:

get the legacy crap if u wanna clip it or something. and DO NOT buy a legacy, pyramid, or other no name amp kit!

in my opinion legacy, pyramid, sony = crap. i heard these subs called the MMATTS juggernaut's and they pounded it had the 2 MMATTS amp's and i was going to try and power my solo-barics with one that was around 1,500 watts but ended up getting a kicker kx1200.1 thats pushin 1,470rms and i am pretty happy with that i think u should try and get one of those kicker sx.1250.1 amps, a MMATTS, rockford or maybe a trantula amp do not go cheap on a amp and amp kit, because it will ruin your system and its better to wait and save money then blow it on a cheap amp and try get a new one later.

if you want a bad ass amp, i have a chrome plated soundstream class a 10.0 i'll sell ya

alright now legacy is out of the question can you guys tell me anything about Boss or Power Acoustic performance teknique or even profile. i dont have 800 buck to spend on each amp thanx its appreciated

how about not buying the audiobahn and getting a better sub for less $$ so you will have more for the amp?

if not try a jbl gto 1200.1 CES2006 RMS is 1117 Watts, dynamic is of course a lot more. $500 bucks should get you out the door with one.

why do you want a 2k watt sub if you can only feed it 100-200 watts of power. Seems like you are getting these names from some of the worst places to buy amps ever invented.

Maybe you should go a little more modest. heck even a solo l7 15 will only need about 500 -600 watts rms to play louder than you should listen to it at.
