audio system upgrade

Hey i have a few questions about upgrading my sound system. I have the infinity sound system w/ stock amp.

I think all my speakers blew (except tweeters in dash) so i ordered speakers to replace them. They should sound ok if i just switch them right? I read that it may not sound right due to stock amp.

Also, if i want to put in an aftermarket amp, could i just put in the stock amps place? If so what wires go to what speakers? (i would assume i would have to take apart the factory harness). Is it a good idea to put an amp there if i plan on changing my head unit in the future? I just don't want to have to run all new wires to amp the speakers.
