I want to install an aftermarket cd player but I also want to be able to use the tape player with it. When I get a new cd player, I still want to use the tape player so I can plug in my laptop in and listen to the songs on there. So can I be able to use an aftermarket cd player with the factory tape player and still have them both functional at the same time?

Get a CD player with a AUX input. this way, you can plug your laptop in without having to use a tape adapter.

Pros: Better sound quality, less junk i.e. tape player, cassette adapter.

Cons: More money than a CD player without AUX in.

who the hell listens to tapes :p

edit: damn i need to read the full post before i reply
