I'm having the same problems that most adfx owners have had. My pipes aren't long enough.

Where and how long did you have to extend your pipes? My motor is out of the car so I have no idea how short they are. Can anyone 1g owner tell me the specifics on what they did?

How do you know they're too short if the motor isn't in the car

I'd wait till you get the engine back in to worry about fitting up the FMIC piping.
BTW.. longer silicone/rubber tubing or silicon flex couplers can be used to "make up" gaps in piping and certain misalignments.

Mine was too short connecting the pipe on the turbo outlet to the pipe on the intercooler inlet.

I just went to NAPA and got a foot of 2.5" ID heavy duty truck radiator hose. I cut the hose to the length I needed and replaced the crappy worm clamps with T-bolt clamps (also from NAPA). It has been like this for almost a year now.

I don't remember if it was too short connecting to the intake manifold because I cut it anyway for a GM MAF.

I used hoses from peterbuilt and i didnt have problems with installation. Is there anything wrong by doing this? Huge gaps were filled with these heavy duty hoses..

DSM90AWD,

I can tell just by looking at them. There is almost nothing to them, unfortunately.

Does anyone know if using the silicone extensions or the radiator hose hurts with airflow?

Thanks for the help ga92tsiawd.
