At what point does the 255hp become insufficient?

Has anyone tried punching the pressure relief valve in? This will help your Wally flow quite a bit more at higher pressure and according to the Evo and Subbie guys they are reliable this way. Buschur sold pumps with this mod done for quite a while for $200+.


I looked into it, alot of guys said it works, but may overheat the pump over time. Might make the pump fail alittle sooner. I got a spare 255hp, ill have to take a look at it, and see were this relief spring is.
 
I know I said I was going to throw this picture up in another thread, but I'll do it here. For viewing sake. This cost me $16 just to get it from the magazine to CD, so I hope at least some of you friggin' appreciate this.

This is a Barry Grant King Sumo fuel pump (part number 170042) sitting next to an OEM STi pump. (I think the model year was '04 or something like that. Close enough.) The OEM fuel pump in this picture is very similar to the OEM Evo and DSM pumps.
